Payments

AMPORF, Inc. uses a third-party integration through TalentLMS using Stripe, Inc, to accept credit card payments safely and securely for our customers.

The Stripe, Inc. Payment Gateway manages the complex routing of sensitive customer information through the electronic credit card processing networks.

The company adheres to strict industry standards for payment processing, including:

  • Encrypt and verify the integrity of traffic between the client and your server using TLS 1.2 or above.
  • PCI Level 1 Service Provider, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
  • Compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

MPO Institute License Agreement

This License Agreement shall be by and between the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations Research Foundation (“AMPORF”) located at 4300 Wilson Blvd., Suite 220 Arlington, VA 22203 and users of the MPOI Institute website (“Licensee”).

  1. License

(a) License Grant. AMPORF grants to Licensee a limited non-exclusive license to access             educational course available through the Metropolitan Planning Organization Institute’s   website https://mpoinstitute.talentlms.com/ (“Website”). This license does not grant licensee any rights to download, copy, alter, redistribute or otherwise manipulate any content provided through the Website.

(b) Limited Use. Licensee shall have access to a number of courses as described in the invoice attached to this agreement. Once Licensee has viewed that number of courses this license shall terminate per course access as defined within the course description, and Licensee shall not be able to access any additional courses.

  1. Disclaimer of Warranty

Neither AMPORF nor the Metropolitan Planning Organization Institute shall be liable for any damages incurred by Licensee as a result of their accessing Website or viewing any of the contents of the Website.   ALL BENEFITS OF THIS AGREEMENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND ARE TO BE USED AT YOUR OWN RISK AMPORF MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS ABOUT THE CONTENTS OF THE WEBSITE AND DOES NOT GUARNTEE THE SUTABILITY OF THE INFORAMTION AVAILABLE TO LICENSEE. AMPORF DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND REPRESNETATIONS OF ANY KIND INCLUDING BUT NO LIMITED TO THE COMPLETENESS, SECURITY, RELIABILLITY, QUALITY, ACCURACY, OR AVAILABILTY AMPORF HEREBY DISLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED STAUTORY OR OTHERWISE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

  1. Intellectual Property

No intellectual property shall have any change of ownership under this agreement. AMPORF shall retain all rights to all content Licensee gains access to under this agreement. Licensee agrees that it and its users shall not download, modify, or otherwise use the intellectual property in any way, not explicitly described in this agreement and that Member shall not share any AMPORF intellectual property with any individual other than its users.

  1. Suspension and Termination

AMPORF may at its sole discretion suspend or terminate this license at will. In the event that this license is terminated AMPORF shall provide a pro-rated refund for any unused courses.

  1. Amendment of Terms

These terms may only be amended by the written agreement of both parties. If any provision of this agreement is found to be void, invalid, or otherwise unenforceable the rest of the agreement shall remain in full force and effect with terms as close to the original intentions of the parties as possible.

  

AMPORF Privacy Policy

  1. Introduction

As part of the services available at https://mpoinstitute.talentlms.com/ and other AMPORF controlled websites AMPORF collects certain types of information about users.

  1. Types of data we collect

A. Personal Data

We collect information that allows AMPORF to identify you or contact you as part of our business activities. AMPORF collects this information for a number of business reasons including but not limited to, collecting payment, enrollment in courses, course reporting, and otherwise interacting with  AMPORF activities.

The types of personal data we may collect includes but are not limited to:

  • Names, dates of birth, home and business addresses, email addresses, internet protocol addresses, mobile/landline business/personal telephone numbers and other general information provided by our applicants and donors.
  • Credit Card Processing data
  • Professional data such as past internships, career history, and academic achievements
  • Government issued identification numbers such as social security numbers, national identification numbers and tax identification numbers.
  • Other identification information such as photographs
  • Financial information such as credit and debit card numbers, passwords and PIN numbers for donations and service fees.
  • Other personal data such as race, ethnic origin, sexual orientation and disability data, collected for diversity or accessibility purposes

B. Non-Personal Data

We also receive data that does not directly identify you as you interact with our sites. This non-personal data includes:

  • Site usages (browsing history, search terms, numbers of clicks, referring and exit pages, date/time stamps, time on site)
  • Computer type, operating system and platform
  • Internet service provider

We do not knowingly collect personal data or market to children under the age of 13.

AMPORF implements commercially reasonable security measures to help protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of data. Except for the Association of Metropolitan Planning Organizations (AMPO) we restrict access to personal data from any other outside company.

Be aware that other websites linked from the AMPORF website or emails may contain privacy provisions that are different from this privacy policy. To ensure your privacy is protected, we recommend that you review the privacy statements of these other linked sites.

  1. Accessing, Changing, and Deleting Your Personal Data

We rely on you to keep your personal data correct. If you use our sites, or other services, you can update and correct your information directly on the website or by contacting us using the information in “Contact Us” section below. Typically, we retain your personal data for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was obtained, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. This may include retaining your personal data indefinitely even after your use of  AMPORF services is complete, in order resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with legal obligations, or other purposes.

Please note that you can request, at any time, that we delete your personal data. Requests for such must be directed to the contact in the “Contact Us” section below. We can decide to delete your personal data if we believe that the data is incomplete, inaccurate, or that our continued use and storage is contrary to our obligations to other applicants, individuals, or third parties. When we delete your personal data, it will be removed from our active databases or anonymized so that the data is no longer identified with you, but the data may remain in our archives if  AMPORF determines that it is not practical or possible to delete it.

  1. Cookie usage

Our website sends cookies (pieces of code or text placed on your computer when you browse our sites) to your web browser (if your browser settings allow it) to collect data when you browse our sites.
